Racism is among the numerous varieties of prejudice and discrimination that plagued earthly human civilization which, unlike on Earth, are not actively observed, practiced, or encouraged in Illuminatia.

Race is considered to be an outmoded concept in Illuminatian culture, as inhabitants of the Neonisi planet consider themselves all to be members of the human race. More specifically, Illuminatians might identify themselves as members of Illuminatian civilization as a type of humanity seen to be in isolation from earthly human civilization. While this identity might cause Illuminatians to find themselves superior to ancient humanity, this judgment is tempered by the understanding that humanity on Earth might have evolved considerably since last contact between the Lucidus mission and Earth-bound humanity.

Taking into account these details, racism and any other system of discrimination or intolerance against groups of human persons would be moot in Illuminatia, as everybody considers them to be part of the same Illuminatian human culture. Planning and preparation for the Lucidus mission that took place well in advance of the spacefaring portion of the mission ensured that a representative and granular sampling of a highly diverse cross section of Earth's ethnic, racial, cultural, geographic, and linguistic identities populated the mission. As a result, the mission's status quo, from its origin, was a heterogeneous population in which most biological and cultural differences were between individuals rather than between groups, where no one identity retained a threshold that would allow it to possess inequitable power or cultural superiority. This caused a societal attitude that ignored implications of differences based upon group features like race and ethnicity and led to an extinction of inherent racism within the Lucidian population that eventually founded Illuminatia.

Over the course of the multi-generational Lucidus mission which ultimately established Illuminatia, the inhabitants of these missions relinquished any internalized concept of prejudicial differences between groups of people based on the melanin content of their skin, the cultural background of their ancestors, or other differences among the constellation of human qualities by which one could categorize people.

Illuminatians are united in their universal use of the Glossa Communi language, eliminating any potential perceptions of difference or superiority between peoples based on language use. While many Illuminatians natively speak one of the four Protolucidian languages, this is not seen as a significant basis for differentiation among people because everyone can still communicate with any other person in Illuminatia using Glossa Communi.

Per Lucidus guidelines for human settlement of Illuminatia, government documentation and identification does not in any way record of differentiate any information regarding the color of an individual's skin, as such information is not seen to be in any way personally identifying in any unique or useful way.
