The Adamopolitan River is a navigable river flowing generally from north to south through central Illuminatia. The headwaters of the Adamopolitan River lie adjacent to the northern Timmons Range. After an eastward jaunt accounting for almost a quarter of the river's length, the river empties into Randall Bay at Adamopolis, Illuminatia's most densely populated metropolis.

Major cities residing along the length of the Adamopolitan River, in order from upriver to terminus, include Mingus, Ellington, Gillespie, Blue Note, Preservation Hall, Village Vanguard, Steinway, and Adamopolis.

Approximately the lower quarter of the Adamopolitan flows through land considered to be within the Randall Bay Megalopolitan Complex, making the Adamopolitan prominent in the culture and lore of much of Illuminatia's population.

The Adamopolitan receives its name from Adamopolis, the city sitting at its terminus.
